Sensorial Systems Applied to the Industry
The research field of the Sensorial Systems Applied to Industry research group, SSAI, is
the study, development and implementation of intelligent systems to solve real
problems in the industry. The proposed solutions are based on current techniques of
Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition, such as Deep Learning or Convolutional
Neural Networks. In particular, we are specialists in Structural Pattern Recognition,
where the objects or the state of the system is represented by a structure composed of
several parts.
We are developing projects and we do research on a wide range of applied fields; from
the study of toxicology of chemical components or nanoparticles to robotic methods for
capturing the radioactivity within buildings. We also work on the automation of
digitalization of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
